Verify Recipient

Overview

Resolve the registered name on a mobile-money MSISDN or a bank account before you create the remittance.

Description	Name-check a mobile money number or bank account.

Request Body

Field	Type	Description	Required
rail	string	`mobile_money` or `bank`.	Yes
phone	string	Recipient MSISDN in international format. Required for mobile money.	Conditional
account_number	string	Bank account number. Required for bank.	Conditional
bank_code	string	Bank code from GET /banks. Required for bank.	Conditional
destination_country	string	ISO country for bank verify, e.g. UG. Defaults to TZ if omitted.	Recommended for bank

If name lookup is unavailable, the API returns HTTP 502. Confirm the name with your customer before you execute.
